Undergraduate Scholarships
NSSLHA Must be a current National NSSLHA member, be a sophomore or junior in a CSD program, and hold a 3.25 cumulative GPA (minimum). $500-$1000 December 31
Graduate Student Scholarship ASHFoundation Students (who are undergraduate seniors accepted to a master’s program or students currently pursuing master’s or doctoral (research or clinical) degrees). $5,000 May 18
Student Research Grant in Early Childhood Language Development ASHFoundation
  1. Students must be master’s or doctoral (research or clinical) degree students enrolled in, or accepted for, graduate study in speech-language pathology or speech-language science at an academic program in the United States.
  1. Students must be enrolled for full-time study for the full academic year.
  1. Master’s degree candidates must be in a program accredited by, or in candidacy status from, the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  1. Proposals must be for research to be initiated in early childhood language development. Preference will be given to research addressing populations who are early verbal in their language production and use. If applicable to the type of study, proposals in this area of child language can be inclusive of children with hearing impairment.

Student Ethics Essay Award ASHA Open to students who are enrolled in any undergraduate, post baccalaureate, or entry-level graduate program (U.S. only) in communication sciences and disorders (CSD).

Monetary prizes ($1,000, $750, and $500 for first, second, and third place, respectively)

Plural Publishing Research Scholarship CAPCSD

One (1) Master’s/AuD level scholarship is intended for Master’s/AuD level students who are pursuing research in speech-language pathology or audiology.

One (1) Doctoral-level scholarship is intended for Ph.D. students who are pursuing research in audiology, speech-language pathology, or speech-language-hearing sciences.

Frances J. Laven Scholarship CAPCSD Graduate students enrolled in a professional graduate program (Master’s SLP, AuD, or SLP-D) at a CAPCSD member institution. $5,000 November 12
American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowships AAUW Identify as woman, in all fields of study at an accredited institution of higher education or, for postdoctoral fellows, research. $18,000–$30,000 November 15 (Opens Aug 1)
Med Travelers Scholarship Med Travelers Speech-Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and School Psychology graduate students. $5,000 April 2024
AMBUCS Scholarship Program AMBUCS Students must be US citizens accepted in a graduate-level program that is accredited by the appropriate therapy profession authority in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, or hearing audiology. $600-$1,500 May 1
Bilingual Therapies Scholarship Bilingual Therapies Speech pathology and school psychology students who speak a second language at native or near-native proficiency, and are interested in working with bilingual/bicultural children in the schools upon graduation.

Speech Language Pathology students should apply before entering the final year of their academic program.

AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability American Association on Health and Disability Must be a sophomore in undergrad or greater and must have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. $1,000 March 2024

SLP Graduate Student Scholarship Voice Aerobics Any student enrolled in an ASHA accredited graduate speech-language program is eligible to apply. $500 April 30 
Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship Sertoma Students with clinically significant bilateral hearing loss, graduating from high school, or undergraduate students pursuing four-year college degrees in any discipline are eligible for the scholarship. $1,000 March 31
Communicative Disorders Scholarship Sertoma Graduate students pursing advanced degrees in audiology or speech-language pathology from institutions in the U.S.  $1,000 March 31
