Updated: May 25, 12:30 p.m.

National NSSLHA’s priority is the safety and well-being of NSSLHA members, students, volunteers, and staff. We're working closely with ASHA to closely monitor information about the coronavirus/COVID-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization, local and national government statements, the U.S. State Department, and other trusted agencies providing specific information on the virus and related risks.

Together, we remain #NSSLHAstrong.

Impact on NSSLHA Chapters

We recognize this is a stressful time for you and your NSSLHA chapter. Now, more than ever, it's important to feel connected to your cohort! We’ve heard from a lot of chapters, asking for ways they can connect with chapter members, host events, and volunteer within their local communities . . . virtually.

National Office Status

Based on Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s series of bold steps designed to contain the spread of the virus in the state of Maryland, THE ASHA/NSSLHA NATIONAL OFFICE IS MOVING TO AN ALL REMOTE MODEL OF OPERATION THROUGH SEPTEMBER 1, 2021. Staff will continue to carry out duties and responsibilities from home, to the fullest extent possible. By practicing social distancing, we can all help to “flatten the curve” and mitigate the spread of the virus. Members should continue to contact the Action Center (800-498-2071 or actioncenter@asha.org) and other staff as you normally would, for routine questions around certification, dues renewal, membership issues, etc. Please stay tuned via this updates page for the latest updates from National NSSLHA—the situation is fluid, and policies may change.
